What items do you sell?

 

The most common (mainly food) items are on the products section with thousands of other items available to browse on our wholesaler’s website.

 

Whilst we are not able to supply veterinary or prescription foods, I can advise on alternatives to foods for exclusion diets and ‘non-medical’ problems such as obesity and oral care.

 

We do not sell livestock, but our links section may be helpful.

How can I check the price?

 

Check on products section of our website or, for other items, use the RRP on our wholesaler’s website.

How do I place an order?

 

When you want to order, contact us and we will confirm when you can expect delivery (usually to fit in with our weekly delivery schedule). Don't forget to order in advance as we will usually need to obtain your supplies from our wholesaler before delivering on to you. Order by mid-day on Monday for that week’s deliveries.

 

Do you have a minimum order?

 

We have no specific minimum order policy, but prefer to use the common sense approach. If the amount you require/area you live makes it unfeasible for us to deliver, perhaps we could deliver a larger amount or you could collect it from us (Epsom Downs). Or you may have a friend or relative living on one of our regular routes that would take it for you. We usually manage to work something out!

 

How do I pay?

 

We ask that cash or cheque payment (payable to Pets Direct) is made at the time of delivery or that a bank transfer has been arranged. If you happen to be out when your delivery arrives, we will let you know where to send your payment. If you know that you are likely to be out at the time of delivery, just mention it when ordering and we can pre-arrange the best place to leave your payment.

Can I return an item?

 

Yes, as long as it is not too long after it was delivered and is in the original packaging.

Can I arrange a regular delivery?

 

Yes, many customers already do. We simply diarise it at whatever interval suits you - whether weekly, every six months or anything between - it's up to you. Or, if you prefer, we can diarise to contact you the week before your next delivery is due - giving you the opportunity to check your current stock and confirm whether a delivery is needed or not.

Can I order via the internet?

 

Whilst we do not trade directly from this site, you can order via email, phone (01737 358410), or text (07802 483222).

What if I am not in the delivery area?

 

If the area that you live makes it unfeasible for us to deliver, perhaps we could deliver a larger amount or you could collect it from us (Epsom Downs). Or you may have a friend or relative living on one of our regular routes that would take it for you.

Can I place a one-off order?

 

Of course, providing it is feasible to deliver.

What if I am not in when you deliver?

 

If you happen to be out when your delivery arrives, don't worry, we are happy to leave it in a convenient place and let you know where to send your payment to. If you know that you are likely to be out at the time of delivery, just mention it when ordering and we can pre-arrange the best place to leave your delivery and your payment.

Can you deliver to an address other than my home address?

 

If you want us to deliver to an alternative address, such as your work address if it is appropriate, just let us know when ordering.

Who are Pets Direct?

 

After I was made redundant from a career in the hotel and catering industry, (redundancy being an excellent impetus to start a business) I wanted to work at something that also held a personal interest. So, in March 1998 Pets Direct (Epsom Downs) was established as part of a countrywide franchise network and I run it together with my wife, Sue, from our home in Tattenham Corner. We have three children, gerbils and Bonnie the cutest dog!
